About the Logo

No, those are not loaves of bread. The inspiration for the logo comes from rock cairns, the stacked up stones you see on hiking trails and paths. Their main purpose is to let you know you are on the right path so that you don't get lost. Rock cairns are carefully balanced, and marketing should be, too. Great marketing should lead you where you want to go and have the perfect balance of communications and activities at just the right cadence along the way.

Quite simply, 'painted bread' is the translation of the founder's last name 'Panepinto.'  (pane = bread, pinto = painted)

Since Italian last names were typically derived from a family's profession, it is surmised that somewhere in Italy's history, there was a family of breadmakers. But not just ordinary bread makers - painted bread makers.  This art of bread-making involved carefully and meticulously 'painting' designs on an unbaked loaf of bread so that after baking, an intricate design was revealed.  Something as simple and ordinary as a loaf of bread was transformed into something truly extraordinary.
